 of Montevallo. He founded the Cahaba Chorale in Birmingham\, the the Unive
 rsity of Montevallo Chorus and Birmingham Boys Choir. He holds a degree in
  music education from Samford University\, where he majored in piano and v
 oice\, and a doctorate in music education from the University of Alabama.
