 contributions of Native Alabamians at Whispers From the Past – A Native Am
 erican Experience.\n\nThis will be a great time to bring the family and en
 joy a day discovering the culture and contributions of Native Alabamians. 
 See Native American life take shape through demonstrations like flintknapp
 ing\, pine needle basket weaving\, and pow wow dancing\, along with activi
 ties like leaf pounding\, assembling dream catchers\, bead weaving on loom
 s\, corn grinding\, gourd crafting\, fishing\, and pottery. Children can t
 ry their hands at Stick Ball and other games. \n\nHear the sounds of drums
  and see the highlight of the day\, performances by <b>Native American Pow
  Wow dancers</b> at 11:00\, 2:00\, and 4:00. \n\nAuthentic Native American
  items will be available for purchase like jewelry\, bead work\,  foods\, 
 and crafts. \n\nAdmission at the gate is $12 for visitors 18 and older\, $
 10 for seniors and veterans\, and $7 for students. Children younger than 3
  are free. Children’s and students' admission includes take-home crafts\, 
 while supplies last.\n\n<b>Please note this is a special event\, and we wi
 ll not offer free admission to the Gardens during <i>Whispers from the Pas
 t</i>.</b>\n\nIn addition to our parking lot\, offsite parking will also b
 e available at the Bed Bath & Beyond parking lot on Lorna Road. Hoover shu
 ttles will pick up (next to Lorna Road) and transport visitors to the Gard
