Hypertufa duplicates the look of antique animal watering troughs of old Europe using an easy to prepare, concrete-based, but lightweight formula. Experience the excitement of making your own trough to take home and enjoy in your garden, patio or deck. You will make a hypertufa approximately one foot in diameter which shouldn’t crack or break during the winter. This one-day class will employ a simple method which will allow you to take home your hypertufa on a large ceramic tile the same day you make it. After curing, it can be planted with dwarf evergreens, herbs, bedding plants or succulents and would make a thoughtful gift. Wear old clothes, bring a trowel, rubber gloves, and we’ll stir up some fun on a spring morning!
