Propagator Level members will enjoy their monthly wine reception while mixing and mingling with Alabama Plein Air Artists.

The APAA consists of artists from all over the state who gather once a month to paint the varied landscapes of Alabama. They have painted the mountains of north Alabama, the waterways and wetlands of central Alabama, the Gulf, numerous gardens, historic landmarks, and natural wonders across the state. APAA members work in oil, acrylic, watercolor, pastels, and more.

At this month's reception, a group of APAA members will give our propagators a sneak peek at their latest works, all displayed as part of the 2016 Alabama Plein Air Juried Exhibit. The show includes over 30 juried plein air works, painted all around the state of Alabama, by some of APAA's professional and amateur artists alike. This includes:

This year's judge is Ronald Bayens, a nationally-esteemed portrait and landscape painter. Awards to be announced at this reception will include first, second, and third place, plus three merit awards.
