Come hear a presentation on the azalea hybridizing work of Mobile native Dr. Eugene Aromi and learn how he took the exquisitely blooming English Exbury azaleas and bred them to thrive in Alabama’s heat and humidity. These deciduous azaleas are both tough and stunningly beautiful in bloom. We’ll end by taking a walk through our Aromi Azalea Garden with its collection of more than 30 Aromi azaleas – most of which should be in bloom. You may want to take pictures!
