City of Hoover’s 25th Annual Arbor Day Celebration
Join us for an Arbor Day extravaganza hosted by the Beautification Board!
Enjoy the beauty of nature with free trees, enlightening educational vendors, delightful kids' activities, and scrumptious food. Let's cultivate a greener, vibrant community together!
Hear David Doggett talk about the proper planting and care of trees. He'll also share some exciting “coming attractions” to Aldridge Gardens! And witness the official unveiling of a new sculpture by Nelson Grice.
Thanks to generous support from the Arbor Day Foundation, FedEx and Alabama Urban Forestry Association, tree species in this year's giveaway include limited numbers of Black Gum, Bald Cypress, Vitex, Sweet Bay Magnolia, Dawn Redwood, American Fringetree, Eastern Mayhaw, Willow Oak, Southern Red Oak, Sioux Crape Myrtle, Catawba Crape Myrtle. All giveaway trees are growing in 3 gallon pots and range in height from 3-6'. Trees will be available to the general public, while supplies last.
Overflow shuttle parking will be available from the old Bed Bath and Beyond parking lot (at Riverchase Crossings) located at 1771 Montgomery Hwy, Hoover, AL 35216.
