Presented by the Hoover Beautification Board, this community-wide celebration will feature FREE TREES (while supplies last), the 4th Grade Arbor Day Essay and Poster Contest awards ceremony (9:30 to 10:30), plus the "Grumpy Gardner" Steve Bender speaking at the pavilion (11 to noon).

Held at Aldridge Gardens, this event will feature: food trucks, Wild Birds Unlimited, raptors on display from Alabama Wildlife Center, birding tours with Dr. Richard Ryel (weather permitting), an education table by Traci Ingleright, a kids craft table, the Hoover Beautification Green Team, Alabama Cooperative Extension Services (ACES), and the Hoover Belles.

Arbor Day in Hoover is organized by the Hoover Beautification Board with generous support from the City of Hoover Parks and Rec Foundation, Alabama Power, Green Valley Farms, Ace Tree Service, and numerous volunteers. These partners believe in the value that trees bring to our community and understand the importance of planting the right tree in the right place.
