Hydrangea Winter Pruning and Propagation - Afternoon Session
This afternoon session is now FULL. It was opened up to accommodate more people that want to see the presentation and or were not able to get into the sold-out morning session.
Late winter is the time to prune two of our hydrangea species. Panicle hydrangeas (like ‘Limelight’) and smooth hydrangeas (like ‘Annabelle’) both bloom on new growth and pruning this time of year can improve their blooming and appearance. This PowerPoint talk describes the recommended pruning method for smooth and panicle hydrangeas and how to take those cut stems and turn them into new plants via hardwood propagation.
This FREE one-hour program is on Saturday, February 17 at 1:00 p.m. in the Aldridge Gardens Education Building and is presented by master gardener David Doggett. Space is limited and registration is required.
